The Finishing Trades Institute of New England is hosting their second annual Coating Applicator Specialist Expo. The event will include presentations from industry leaders and trainings. Those who are or interested in becoming a Coating Applicator are encouraged to attend. Sponge-Jet will be presenting at the event in support of the institute.
Providing a variety of training and safety courses, the Finishing Trades Institute of New England also provides CAS Prep and CAS Exams at their District Council #35 facility, located at 34 Commercial Drive, Brentwood, NH 03833
From there website… District Council 35 is an organization of approximately 4000 members in Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont and Rhode Island. It is affiliated with the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades, AFL-CIO. Members include:
- Construction industry painters, wallcoverers, glaziers, and drywall finishers
- Residential painters, drywall finishers, glaziers, and wallcoverers
- Glassworkers
- Sign painters and sign erectors
- Institutional maintenance trades workers
- Public employees
District Council 35 is an aggressive and forward-thinking organization, committed to serving the interests of members and unrepresented workers who hope to join. The DC 35 membership has grown substantially in recent years, and the organization is determined to continue this trend to ensure that the best wages and benefits in our industries are maintained. Their mission is to represent members for purposes of collective bargaining, to organize workers in a variety of occupations, and to advocate for workers and their families.
