CIP Level 1 is a six-day course that offers instruction on the technical and practical fundamentals of coating inspection work for structural steel projects. Offered by AMPP, this course provides students with knowledge of coating materials and techniques for surface preparation and application that prepares the student to perform basic coating inspections using non-destructive techniques and inspection instrumentation. While many of the course objectives are designed for coating inspector trainees, it can also be beneficial to anyone attempting to better their understanding of coating applications.
Classroom instruction is comprised of lectures, discussions, group exercises and hands-on practical labs. Successful completion of the practical exam administered following the course is essential to receive a certificate of completion.
